Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) plans to launch its all-new 2016 Focus RS this year. The vehicle will come with stronger credentials than the previous model.

The Focus RS model was first launched in 2002. It came with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with four cylinders, and could produce 212 horsepower, which was closest to what the World Rally Championship cars were capable of.

The company restarted the production of the RS model in 2009, after the model was discontinued in 2003. This time, the RS was able to generate 305 horsepower with a 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine. The latest version, 2016 Ford Focus RS, set to be launched this year, is a third-generation Focus with several added features.
