Four Livingston County students were awarded $5,000 scholarships for academic excellence and achievement from Chrysler Group LLC at a ceremony held at the auditorium of the automaker’s Auburn Hills complex.

Children of Chrysler Group employees — as well as those from Comau, Ferrari/Maserati USA, Fiat Finance NA, Magneti Marelli and Teksid in North America — who met eligibility requirements and graduated with a high school diploma, associate degree or bachelor’s degree during calendar year 2012 were eligible for the 2012 Fiat Chrysler Awards. The applicants were evaluated by judges to assess key criteria related to academic performance, essay submission, extracurricular activities and financial/personal hardships.
