After a nearly 14-year hiatus, Ford Motor Co.'s Lincoln Continental luxury sedan is back.

A lounge-style act set an appropriate mood with Peggy Lee's "Fever" before a silky white sheet was whisked away revealing the classy car beneath at the 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit's Cobo Center Tuesday.

There was no mention of the Ford Bronco, another once-popular discontinued Ford offering the company has hinted the return of.

First manufactured in 1938, production of the Lincoln Continental stopped in 2002. Ford President and CEO Mark Fields says that will soon change. The revived model is set for release this fall and will be manufactured at Ford's Flat Rock plant near Detroit.
