The Chevrolet Cruze returns home for the reveal event of the next-generation of the model.

The 2016 Next Generation Cruze will be shown to GM employees and community partners at the GM Lordstown Complex Thursday morning at 11.

The new Cruze model was first revealed in Detroit in June.

GM said the new Cruze is larger than the current model, yet lighter.

Officials said new powertrains and additional safety features are available and the reveal in Detroit showcased new technology features.

21 News reported from Detroit that the next generation Cruze will offer Android Auto and Apple CarPlay technology which will allow drivers and passengers to stay connected with 4G LTE Wi-Fi bluetooth compatibility and touch screen features.
