The Ford Mustang was introduced to the car-crazy American public on April 17, 1964, at the World's Fair. It became an instant automotive icon.

This year the popular car celebrates its 50th anniversary amid a lot of hoopla across the United States and the world. More than 9 million have been sold. There's even a birthday card you can sign.

Closer to home there are several local events where Mustangs of all years and versions will be visiting.
