ICYMI - FCA US, Ford and GM Lead Kogod Made in America Auto Index
Last week the Kogod Made in American Auto index was released. This important index measures how American-made a vehicle really is. The index shows FCA US, Ford and General Motors (GM) comprise 24 of the top 25 most “American-made” vehicles and lead scoring across all vehicle segments including sedans, SUVs and pickups. Forbes- “The “most red-blooded American” models for 2016 are the three large General Motors crossover SUVs, the Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, and the GMC Acadia, each with an estimated 90% domestic content.”
Boston.com<Boston Globe>- Frank DuBois developed auto index and said, “What I’m trying to do is provide more information to consumers. After a house, a car is the largest purchase decision you’re going to make. If you believe country of origin is a critical part of the decision, this index provides you more information than what you’ll see on a sticker at a dealership.”
