The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat may not be the most powerful production V-8 in the world, but it's pretty close. Coming behind the more expensive McLaren P1 by only 20 horses, the Challenger SRT represents the most affordable collection of horses money can buy, and on this new episode of Ignition, host Carlos Lago takes the driver's seat to discover whether the muscle car lives up to its incredible power.

With a power rating of 707 hp, everyone is going to want to know exactly how Dodge did it, and Lago gets straight to the point, explaining everything the brand did to squeeze all that extra power out of its existing 6.4-liter V-8 engine. After he gives a little lesson on all the Hellcat's elements, it's time to hit the dyno to see just how much power the Hellcat can drive to its rear wheels. Considering Dodge had to build new dynos for the Hellcat since their old equipment couldn't handle that power, we expected this muscle car to perform beautifully on the dyno, and it did just that.
