The birthday of the Chevrolet Corvette is a topic of debate. Some recognize its birth as January 17, 1953, when the  EX-122 was revealed at GM’s Motorama event at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City. Then there are those, like us, who celebrate its birthday on June 30, because that’s when the very first production Corvettes rolled off a Flint, Michigan assembly line, just six months after its unveiling. All of them white. All of them red interiors. All of them with white-walls, canvas top, and radio. Only 300 1953 Corvettes were made, which sold for just $3,498.
