General Motors Co. said Tuesday it will invest $14 million into its Parma Metal Center in northeast Ohio to install a new special press into the facility that it can use in two ways.

The Parma Metal Center supports 13 GM assembly plants in North America and other customers. Last year, it supplied 67 million parts.

GM said the new press, which can be used for die tryout and regular production of parts, is slated to run in late 2014 or early 2015.
