The Delta Township GM plant builds the Chevy Traverse, Buick Enclave, and GMC Acadia. But all of that has stopped.
The last 32 days, workers have training for something new.
"Everyone needs to be certified on any new tooling. Any new job stations that are set up so that you are certified on your job" said GM's Lansing Communications, Erin Davis.
General Motors has invested $583 million into the plant. $63 million for expansion and another $520 million for what it says could be vehicle programs.
