Ford's Fusion sedan has already scored with buyers when it comes to styling, and now the automaker hopes it will do just as well on hot performance.

In a bid to take on German performance automakers, Ford is adding a V-6 turbocharged version of the Fusion by the end of summer. Company officials say that customers have been demanding a Fusion Sport, as it will be called, including those of competing brands who might be willing to defect.
