General Motors shows off Delta Plant improvements

The Delta Township GM plant builds the Chevy Traverse, Buick Enclave, and GMC Acadia. But all of that has stopped.

The last 32 days, workers have training for something new.

"Everyone needs to be certified on any new tooling. Any new job stations that are set up so that you are certified on your job" said GM's Lansing Communications, Erin Davis.

General Motors has invested $583 million into the plant. $63 million for expansion and another $520 million for what it says could be vehicle programs.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Boasts Impressive Jeep Sales And Positive Minivan Sales Outlook

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV has reported that Jeep sales have hit a record high and on the rise in the US, and minivans have also been increasing in popularity.

The vehicle manufacturer reported that its automobile sales in May was 204,452 in May alone, thus marking the 74th consecutive year where the company has registered gains year over year. Fiat Chrysler also reported record Jeep sales in the same month where it sold 90,000 units. This is the first time that the firm has made such high Jeep sales in the 75 years that it has been in operation.

Toledo will mark the 75th anniversary of Jeep with a daylong celebration on Aug. 13 to commemorate the brand's role in World War II,    its heritage in Toledo and its future as an SUV brand that continues to expand globally.
The Toledo Jeep Fest will include a parade supported by the U.S. military, indoor and outdoor car shows, historic displays, live bands and food vendors.

2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 Gets New Colors, Capless Fuel Fill, Android Auto, Revised High Country Features And More

On the outside, the 2017 Silverado 1500 loses three colors while gaining two new ones:

Slate Grey Metallic
Tungston Metallic
Autumn Bronze Metallic
New Colors
Graphite Metallic
Pepperdust Metallic
Rounding out the changes to the exterior is the addition of capless fuel fill system as a standard feature across every model and trim level, with the exception of trucks ordered as pickup box delete; those models will continue having the capped fuel fill.
